Really needed these words of encouragement today. I am reminded that as long as I make God’s plan the focus it doesn’t matter if everyone else thinks it’s crazy or impossible or stupid because it’s about pleasing God, not other people.
Anytime you set out to do something great in life, there will be critics. If you’re going to be a great businessperson, coach, student, leader or employee, there will be opposition. The more success you have, the more opportunities there will be for distractions. The higher you go, the more haters will come out. When you start stretching to a new level and pursuing what God has placed in your heart, the jealous people, the critical people, and the small-minded people come out of the woodwork and start making negative comments, but you don’t have to let that distract you.
If you are under pressure today, if the critical voices are coming against you, know that it’s because you are making a difference. Don’t let them throw you off course. Instead, dig your heels in, set your face like a flint, and say, “I will not get distracted. I will not get drawn into battles that don’t matter. It doesn’t matter what others think; it matters what God thinks!”
Today, look beyond the critics. Stand strong in adversity. Press forward to what lies ahead and win the prize of life that He has prepared for you!
I want to thank the person from @AnimeExpo who sent me this brand new AX 2008 t-shirt. About two weeks ago I mentioned on Twitter how I wished that Anime-Expo had shirts from 2008 for sale on their web site because now mine was three sizes too big for me since I lost 110lbs and next thing I know a kind soul from AX said they would ask around for me about 08 shirts in a large. Flash forward a few days and that person ask me to send my shipping information and they would send the shirt out to me. I was floored! So I get home today and I have a package waiting on me from AX. Not even two weeks ago I wanted this shirt and now I have a brand new one that fits me. This is by far the nicest thing that anyone has ever done for me let alone probably the largest anime convention in the world. I could cry right now from how happy I am!
Anime Expo 2008 was the very first anime convention I ever went to. My brother and me jumped in my truck and drove 3000+ mile from Ohio all the way out to L.A. for the convention and it was a trip of a life time. So many memories was made that trip and how many people these days do a cross country road trip? When I’m old a gray I will be able to tell my grandkids about my great adventure. I wish I could express how much joy I have right now and the flood of emotions because of someone’s kindness. All other conventions should take note; this is how you do things! Again thank you so very much to the person who done this awesome thing for me! When I’m back in L.A. for a future AX I will take you out for coffee or drinks or whatever you want!
Everyone should visit their website and go to their convention because it is hands down the best anime convention you will ever go to!

Something too look forward to just as much as the “official” AX Closing Ceremonies
Theodore Roosevelt was campaigning in 1912. On October 14th, a man who had been following Roosevelt for months decided that the time had come to strike, and shot Roosevelt as he was leaving a hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The bullet fired by the would-be assassin went through Roosevelt’s coat, jacket, the speech he had in his pocket (pictured above), the case for his glasses (also pictured), and entered his chest.
Declaring that his lung had not been punctured, since he was not bleeding from his mouth, Roosevelt went on to speak as scheduled for over an hour, saying to the crowd “It takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose”.
Afterwards he was taken directly to a hospital in Chicago. He lost the election; the bullet was never recovered from his chest.
